Prospects, Future Strategy and Objectives
African Energy's projects are located in the sedimentary rocks of the Karoo Supergroup in southern Africa. The Company’s lead project is located in Botswana, the most stable democracy in Africa.
African Energy’s primary goal is to develop the Sese project in eastern Botswana. The company will commence a feasibility which on the project which will investigate options for supplying to the domestic Botswana market, neighbouring African countries and exporting to international markets. The project has the potential to be a very large tonnage, long-life asset with potentially the lowest raw coal mining costs in the region.
In the near term, the primary objectives of the Company will be:
- Complete a resource delineation drill programme at the Sese project in Botswana across blocks A, B and C;
- Prepare a maiden JORC compliant inferred resource for the Sese project;
- The completion of a conceptual study on the feasibility of mining operations at the Sese project;
- Initiate a feasibility study based on the results of the project’s conceptual study;
- Continued assessment of less advanced projects to provide a pipeline of exploration drilling opportunities, and
- Continued assessment of opportunities for the acquisition of new projects.
